This is a really amazing space cleaning ritual that I want to share.
I am a true believer that whatever environment you spend time in, needs to reflect your intentions and should set you up for energetic success.
I do this ritual for my entire house with each season change. However, I clear individual rooms more frequently, especially after feeling stress, anxiety, sadness or doing a Reiki session for someone.
I want my space to feel as fresh as possible!
YOU WILL NEED:
White Sage (this can be purchased on amazon or at a health food store)
Fireproof bowl (I use an abalone shell, any ceramic bowl will work well)
Fanning agent (I use a large hawk feather, but you can use your hand)
Matches or a Lighter
Please note, you do not need to light the entire sage bundle! Depending on the size of your space, a few leaves may do just fine!
When you are ready to clear, place a small amount of sage into the fireproof bowl.
Stand at the entry of your home/room and take three deep breaths.
Imagine your body being surrounded by white light and invite your spirit guides and/or Archangel Michael to help you during the clearing.
Set a clear intention that you would like to clear the space.
Slightly open a window or door, I do one in each room that I am clearing, but one on each floor is sufficient.
Light the sage and once it begins to flame, gently blow it out, keeping it lit and smoke billowing. Begin by facing the front door and work your way around each room, moving to the right.
Attend to each corner, around objects, under the beds, etc. During the seasonal clear I am very thorough in each room, but during maintenance clearing, I just go around each room making sure the smoke goes from top to bottom.
You can repeat a phrase like “this space is purified and cleansed” or “All negative energy and spirits MUST leave by the power of God.” You can come up with your own phrase and continue to repeat it as you walk through the space. Just make sure that your intention of clearing the space is very clear.
At the end of the clearing, send feelings or speak words of gratitude to your guides, as they have assisted in protecting you and clearing the space, close windows and doors and I always put a little water into the bowl to insure the embers are extinguished.
You can clear your home/office/a hotel room etc. This ritual is very powerful during new moons and the seasonal equinoxes.
